Highlights

Kolin highlighted my hair tonight, just for fun:

I bought and started reading The Lovely Bones this week.  The movie looks really good, and I thought it would be a good idea to read the book before seeing the movie.  I'm only on chapter 4 and it's really amazing so far.  It's nice to read for leisure again.  When I finish this one, I think I'll go out and buy another book I want to read and so on.

Tonight, Kol and I are drinking Moscato and relaxing.  It's a beautiful life.

Keep praying.

Amy's Trip to Amishville

Amy came to visit on Friday and we had a ton of fun.  We stayed in Friday night, drinking (Arnold Palmers may be my new drink of choice) and watching movies (All About Steve was terrible while The Final Destination was awesome).  Saturday we had brunch at Essenhaus and walked through all the shops.  Since Amy's basically a grandma, she thoroughly enjoyed herself. :)

Mom got Kolin Grand Theft Auto IV for his birthday and he's been playing it NON-STOP.  While we were out to lunch this afternoon, however, Kolin's sister Megan rented Arkham Asylum, so he's been forced to take a break.  She also rented This is It, and I'm very much looking forward to watching it tonight.

While I was getting my oil changed, Kolin and I test-drove a new Malibu Hybrid, and I am definitely going to buy on in the (near?) future.

Keep praying.

Karaoke and Cake

I started donating plasma last week to make some extra cash.  It's gone well both times, and it feels nice to know I'm helping other people while also making money - BONUS.

Blood loss.

This weekend we went home for Kolin's birthday.  On Saturday night we met Autumn and her dad at Miller's in Kokomo to watch No Identity play.  Near the end of the second set we headed to Logansport so I could sing some karaoke with Dad:

We didn't plan on staying long but actually ended up closing the place.  It had been so long since I rocked some karaoke, so it was a ton of fun.

On Sunday (after church) we ate lunch at China Lane with Aunt Marilyn, Uncle Pat, Dad, Jeremy, Mandy, and Mia.  It was so delicious and really enjoyable to have all of us together.  We hung out at Kolin's mom's for the rest of the night, having U-Know's Pizza (Kolin's favorite) for dinner and yellow cake with chocolate icing for dessert.  We didn't have "2" and "3" candles, but we made do:

The Lord has really been providing for us lately.  It seems whenever we get worried about how we're going to pay the bills, I get more shifts at work or something else happens to make everything work out.  It's so amazing to know that no matter what, He's always got us covered.

My bad knee has been hurting me a lot this week, and I'm not sure why.  Keep praying.

Did you miss me?

It's been 4 months since I blogged last! Sorry I'm such a slacker, but nothing much has been happening in my life. I'll run through some updates:

First off, not long after Kolin found out his job fell through, he got a job at Indulgence Pastry Shop & Cafe. That's the same place he did his internship for Kendall. He really enjoys it but doesn't get as many hours as he would like (especially this month; it's completely DEAD).

September 21st was my 23rd birthday, and I went to Aunt Becky's annual fish fry. It was a lot of fun, as always. Kolin's brother Jason had his bachelor party the same day, so he obviously had a fun night as well. :)

September 26th was Jason and Olivia's wedding. Kolin was the best man and he looked dashing:

October was relatively uneventful.

I started flossing and doing Wii Fit daily in November and that's going pretty well.

Late December was busy, busy, busy (which is nothing new). We celebrated Christmas with Kolin's dad on Christmas Eve; with my mom on Christmas day; with my dad and Mamaw on December 26th; and with Kolin's mom on the 27th - like I said, BUSY! It was Mia's first Christmas, so she made out like a bandit! We got some really great things, but my favorite gift was a new coat and accessories to go with it:

We spent New Year's weekend at Mom and Mike's with Jeremy, Mandy, and Mia. We all rode together and it was a lot of fun playing with Mia in the backseat. :)

So, now you're up-to-date! I'll try to get back into blogging, but no promises, my friends. I may have some really great news soon; I don't want to spoil it, though, so I'll remain hush-hush (no, I'm not pregnant...yet! ;D).

As always, keep praying.
