Savannah, Day 3

We woke up a bit later today, had breakfast around 9:15, and took a morning swim before getting ready to go apartment-hunting.  We looked at a few duds before finding one we really like.  It was a carriage house that had been turned into two apartments.  We toured the studio and liked it a lot, but it only had one bedroom.  We looked at one more place that was just OK, then found the place we want to live.  The following pictures aren't the actual place we want to live; ours looks a lot nicer, but the layout is exactly the same, so you get the idea.  It has two bedrooms

with a jack-and-jill bathroom,

a nice kitchen,

 large living room,

 and separate dining room;

 all of the floors are oak and it's newly painted.

We had a late lunch at Harris Baking Company.  It was really delicious.  They make multiple loaves of fresh bread daily and have pastries, cakes, soups, salads, sandwiches, etc.  We were happy to find a yummy cafe after our depressing experience yesterday.

I had a job interview at 5 on Hilton Head Island, SC, and I GOT THE JOB!  It's as creative director for Shout Church, an online church that will hold it's soft launch in April and hard launch in October.  This is something that really hasn't been done before, so I'm really excited to be part of it.  I start next month!

To celebrate the fact that we're OFFICIALLY going to be moving to Savannah, we had dinner at Uncle Bubba's Oyster House.  Uncle Bubba is Paula Deen's brother and he has a gorgeous restaurant sitting right on the water in between Savannah and Tybee Island.  The chargrilled oysters are to die for!

Keep praying (it's obviously working!).
