Savannah, Day 1

We made it to Savannah yesterday a little after 4. We were originally going to wait until Sunday morning to leave, but we couldn't sleep Saturday night, so we left just before midnight.  On the way, we stopped in Sevierville, TN, Dolly Parton's hometown, to see her statue in front of the courthouse:

coppin' a feel

gettin' fresh

Our hotel, Springhill Suites, is absolutely beautiful.  We have a king size bed,

a living area (with pull-out couch),

and the toilet and bath/shower are in separate areas, which is nice.

Last night we walked around the city a bit.  We ate dinner at Vinnie Van GoGo's where the pizza was as big as our table:

After dinner, we walked by the river and got some pralines and chocolate for dessert at River Street Sweets.

The weather is beautiful, and we feel so much at home here; I can't wait until we can officially call this place home!

Keep praying.
